Blackmer System One® Heavy Duty Process Pump Offers A Centrifugal Pump For The Toughest And Most Extreme Environments In The Biodiesel Industry

Grand Rapids, MI Blackmer, a global leader in positive displacement rotary vane, eccentric disc, peristaltic hose and centrifugal pump technologies announced that its System One® centrifugal pumps offer a heavy-duty design configuration for use throughout biodiesel production processes. Designed around the seal where 90% of pump failures occur, the System One® has a stiffer heavy-duty shaft and larger bearings resulting in the widest operational window off the Best Efficiency Point (BEP) than any standard process pump. This means biodiesel producers can expect the System One® pump to improve mean time between failures and reduce maintenance cost.

The System One® pump is available in all three ASME/ANSI frame sizes.  Each frame type offers the lowest L3/D4 stiffness ratio of any standard competitive size pump. The Frame S is a heavy-duty alternative to standard small frame pumps, delivering capacities to 450 gpm (102m3/hr). The Frame LD17 has the stiffest shaft in the industry, which dramatically reduces seal and shaft failures. The Frame LD17 reaches capacities of 1,400 gpm (320m3/hr) and is available in IPP metric construction. The Frame M is engineered with the same heavy-duty advantages as the Frame LD17 with capacities to 4,500 gpm.

In addition to the ASME/ANSI centrifugal styles, the System One® line of pumps also includes Vortex pumps. The Vortex pumps have the same heavy-duty design features of the Frame LD17 except they utilize a recessed impeller design. The recessed impeller design can handle sludges, slurries with solids, entrained air, stringy or fibrous material and shear sensitive liquids.  The Vortex pumps offer capacities to 1,500 gpm (340m3/hr).

All System One® pumps come with a Five Year Power End / One Year Mechanical Seal Performance Assurance. Blackmer will provide free replacement components during the Assurance period.
